Gender Matters: Community Leaders to Promote Intersectionality through Human Rights Education
Woman Bazaar is a multidisciplinary festival that has been held for 3 years. The main goal is to help vulnerable groups of women - those who have lost their parents, those with disabilities, displaced people, victims of domestic violence, etc to support the sustainable initiatives and entrepreneurial activities of the representative women, to accelerate their reintegration into the society, as well as to boost the expansion of support mechanisms along with increasing their knowledge and skills to ensure the sustainability of existing activities.
Training Course & Publication
"Gender Matters: Community Leaders to Promote Intersectionality through Human Rights Education" aimed to empower youth workers and community leaders in Azerbaijan to combat gender inequality and promote intersectional approach. We aimed to achieve this Throught online webinar with the selected participants, residential Training Course and Follow-up activities. A publication on intersectionality, intended as a tool for trainers and youth and gender activists, is also being prepared as part of this initiative.
30 individuals with diverse backgrounds participated in this project. Local follow-up projects took place in various regions of Azerbaijan, including Baku, Lankaran, Shabran, Zagatala, Masalli, Yardimli, Ganja, Goychay, and Jalilabad.
