Eleven distinguished organizations and individuals from ten member countries of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program were recognized as exemplary Gender Champions during the prestigious CAREC Award for Advancing Gender Equality Awards Ceremony held in Tbilisi, Georgia on 29 November 2023, at the sidelines of the CAREC Ministerial Conference. Gender Hub Azerbaijan was acknowledged for their outstanding contributions in advocating for women’s rights, policy dialogues, and capacity building programs for women in Azerbaijan.

This competition, supported by the Franco-German cultural foundation, aims to highlight, promote and support projects created by Azerbaijani women in favor of equality between women and men in their country.
Gender Hub Azerbaijan won this competition and our executive director Maryam Majidova won the right to participate in the summer school dedicated to human rights and especially women's rights in the summer of 2021 at Sciences Po, the most prestigious French political science center in Paris.
